Hermes, just like the name suggests, is founded by French person named Theirry Hermss. It came into existence in 1837. Eventually it became a fashion symbol as well as an important part of the perfume market.
It launched perfume in 1951. It's first perfume was a unisex perfume that served both men and women. Even though it is not very easy to create a scent that would appeal to both genders, Hermes was able to do it. Due to the fruity tone in it, it was attractive for those who liked a strong scent regardless of gender. It also has warm undertones to it which balances out the strength of the citrus. It ensures a perfectly balanced and uniquely sensual scent is created. It is a signature scent for the company and is still sold due to its popularity. It also came up with its first men cologne eventually in 1970.
